F0rest after the decider against Dignitas: ”We want to play more aggressively”

Ninjas in Pyjamas are ready for the DreamHack Summer Open playoffs and another round in the classic matchup against Fnatic.
And after the win against Dignitas, Patrik ”f0rest” Lindberg says that a new mindset carried the team to victory.
– During the bootcamp we lost our five first games and then we talked about wanting to play more aggressively and just go in and kill the opponents, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.

After a belter of a game against Na’Vi, where Ninjas in Pyjamas nearly came back after a huge deficit on Cobblestone, the Swedes had to face Danish side Team Dignitas in a game that would either see them advance to face Fnatic or be eliminated. And the ninjas eventually claimed the win after solid teamplay where the whole squad participated in the win.
– We lost against Na’Vi but we still felt that we played really good. So when we went outside to talk about the game we still felt confident that we’d win the game against the danes, Patrik ”f0rest” Lindberg tells Aftonbladet Esport.
– We lost both pistol rounds against Na’Vi but still almost won the game, so mentally it was easy to reset before this game.

”It feels awkward to do nothing”

When the two remaining teams in Group B sat down for the first pistol round, an incredibly aggressive NiP pushed with four players to the B site while f0rest snuck around with the bomb to A. The Swedes won the round and gained an early advantage in the all-important game. And after that round, f0rest treated the Twitch viewers to something he’s become famous for: Flirting with the camera.
– I don’t really know when that thing started. My problem is that I have no idea what to do when the camera is just sitting there. It feels awkward to, like, do nothing so I simply started flirting with the camera. And people seem to appreciate it, he says with a laugh.
The flirting has become it’s very own thing in the CS:GO community, as he’s even had a whole subreddit called ”forestgifs” dedicated to all of his shenanigans.

On Monday, a new classic battle between the two best Swedish CS:GO teams will take place on DreamHack. In other words, the table has been set for a real party starting at 2PM CET.
