After all of the rumors surrounding Ninjas in Pyjamas AWP:er Maikelele, the team announced on Friday that they’re open to finding a replacement.
On Saturday, Bill sent out a tweet that made it seem like he actually left the team, something CEO Per Lilliefelth now denies.
– He’s has a contract with us, so he can’t leave if we don’t release him, Lilliefelth says.

The days in Ninjas in Pyjamas could be coming to an end for AWP star Mikail ”Maikelele” Bill. After a spur of rumors the team announced that they’re looking for a replacement but that Maikelele will get a chance to prove himself and earn a permanent spot.
Maikelele is still a part of NiP and has been informed of his shortcomings and now has a chance of working on them. In other words, the CS:GO team still consists of the same five players, but we are open to trying new players for the upcoming period of time.”, NiP wrote in a statement.

A tweet started more speculations

On Saturday, while attending Nordic Masters with Team Orbit, Maikelele sent out a tweet hinting that he’d in fact left the team.
For all of you that think it was my decision to leave NiP, think again. It was a boydream come true for me and I did my best all the time”, the star wrote, starting more speculations that he’s out of Ninjas in Pyjamas.

”Could eventually be loaned out”

But according to NiP CEO Per Lilliefelth, no such decision has been taken.
– I think he means that he didn’t initiate this himself but that the other players want to try other alternatives. He’s on a contract with us and could eventually be loaned out, Lilliefelth says.

So he hasn’t told you that he’s leaving the organisation?

– He has a contract, so he can’t leave if we don’t release him.

We’ve reached out to Maikelele for a comment, but with no success.
