Friberg, Xizt and allu from our CS:GO division have already shared their stories and now it’s time for Era to shed some light on his choice of name. 

First of all, how did you come up with your current in game nickname?

I got my nickname from a song called ”An Era of Treachery” by Adept, as I listened a lot to them during that time period!

Has this always been your nickname, if no what was your first one and how come you chose it?

Well, while I was playing custom maps during the Wc3 days I went with the alias ”EnCoolPingvin”, I looked up to one of our family friends that used the alias ”EnFinPingvin”, so I suppose I felt like it would be cool if I used somewhat the same!

If given the opportunity would you want to change your current nickname if you knew there wouldn’t be any confusion/backlash from the community and what would be your new nickname if that was the case?

I would’ve liked to try and use my real name as ingame alias, so I’d be known as Adrian, and not Era

Imagine a different e-sports world where players were known for their birth names instead of nicknames, would you dislike/prefer that approach or are you indifferent?”

Well… people might’ve had issues pronouncing my last name, but I think it would be really cool! Cause most people only know a ”pro” from their alias or sponsor tags, so I think the famous people in eSports would’ve maybe been more recognized in public if so!
