In co-operation with Ekelund, the NiP team has developed the NiP plaid, a decorative and useful plaid to keep you warm during winter times. These will be sold during DHW14 to provide the cold environment with a warm and cosy treat for the gamers.
Ekelund are a company with roots that go back to 1692 and this co-operation gives them a chance to reach a new audience, young men and women between the ages of 15 and 25, an age group where NiP are established already. On the other hand, NiP have never done any merchandise in the home interior department, meaning that this co-operation means breaking new ground for both parties involved.
When talking to Emil ”HeatoN” Christensen, this is what he had to say; ”When I was younger and attended my first LAN parties, before I became famous and observed by my surrounding, I used to bring a plaid or a blanket with me to wrap around my legs during the nights we played. I could not stand being cold, and since my hands and feet were freezing, I could roll them in under the plaid. That is sort of what we’re hoping to provide for people with this plaid, not only something that looks good in the house, but furthermore a useful item during LANs and long gaming nights. ”
