The first group stage in Dreamhack Open Tours has concluded and StarNaN together with Mekar ended up winning their groups. The tournament continues right away and here are a short recap of the results from group stage one.

StarNaN won his first series against VeniVidiVins 2-0, and proceeded to play Narcotic, whom he also won against with 2-0 without any real struggle. Mekar, too, won his first series with a 2-0 against Rotab. He then faced Hinom and there he won in a close 2-1 series.
This means that both of them advances as winners from their groups and will face two seeded players and a runner up from another group. Meanwhile Zanster will face one seeded players and two players from group stage one due to him being seeded into the round of 64 from the start.

The matches will continue being played as soon as the players are ready and some of the matches might already have started. Judging from the groups all of our players seems to have recieved quiet balanced groups with good chances to advance. Mekar will get a shot to bring down Welmu and get revenge from last years WCS Challenger matches. Meanwhile Zanster will have True as his main opponent in the group. StarNaN probably got the hardest group of them all but as he said himself, he’s in good shape and you never know what our dear protoss player might have up his sleeve.
