The ultimate ASUS ROG Winter 2015 guide!

av Joachim Rittfeldt Hofvenschiöld

ASUS rogThere is no doubt that January and February are busy months for NiP. Just a few days ago NiP attended to MLG Aspen and today five days after Aspen is ASUS ROG Winter 2015 is in the binoculars for our ninjas. What is most interesting at this event is that there is not a single team that attended to MLG Aspen along with Ninjas in Pyjamas so we get entirely new puzzles to figure out.

In Ninjas in Pyjamas group, we find three teams that have undergone major changes in recent times, with Allu coming into 3DMAX, Titan bringing in the old legend RPK and mousesports that have made their entire lineup and replaced all but two players ChrisJ and Legija. A very exciting group that can offer really good matches.

In the second group, we see the strong Polish team Virtus.Pro who have been together for a good time now, a very interesting Hungarian team, Volgare who managed to qualify for the tournament by beating several top team on the road. But the group also includes two team that have retained their ”core” lineup, but brought in both new and old faces, these teams are Hellraisers and Penta, The German lineup PENTA had a great run at Dreamhack Winter 2014 but fell in the quarterfinals against Virtus Pro since then made it a major change where they replaced a some of their players. Hellraisers also chose to make a change after Dreamhack by replacing Markeloff and S1mple with Flamie and AdreN coming from dAt team. As in group A, this group also give a lot of interesting matches.

Both groups kicks off today starting at 16.00 CET. All group stage matches will be played in best-of-one while the playoffs will be played in best of three series.

On site we also find our old player Fifflaren who will be there as analyst together with the old Ninjas in Pyjamas player Zet. The main casters will be Anders ”Anders” Blume and Auguste ”Semmler” Massonnat. The host of the tournament will be Richard ”Gonzo” Lewis known from Dailydot.
