After Elements disappointing spring split, the team is reportedly in disarray according to Daily Dot sources who say that Rekkles, Wickd and Shook will be leaving the squad.
Now it seems that Elements might have found a replacement top laner from MeetYourMakers, who were knocked out of the LCS the past season.
– Jwaow is doing a tryout for Elements, right now they’re playing with him and Tabzz, a source tells Aftonbladet Esport.
Only a week ago, sources told Daily Dot that Martin ”Rekkles” Larsson, Mike ”Wickd” Petersen and Ilyas ”Shook” Hartsema were set to leave Elements, following a weak spring split that almost saw the team having to qualify to remain in the LCS.
With the threat of three players leaving, the organization has now started scouting for replacements, as only Henrik ”Froggen” Hansen and Mitch ”Krepo” Voorspoels will remain in the squad according to sources.
And they might have found just what they’re looking for to replace Wickd in the top lane, as recently relegated MeetYourMakers player Jesper ”Jwaow” Strandgren is getting to know the team.
– Jwaow is doing a tryout. Only Froggen and Krepo will stay in Elements and right now they’re scrimming with Jwaow and Tabzz, a source tells Aftonbladet Esport.
As Jwaow still is contracted by MYM, the parties will have to negotiate for his release in case Elements want his services for the upcoming split.
The source had no info on who’s the top contender for the jungle spot, but former CounterLogic Gaming jungler Marcel ”dexter” Feldcamp signed on for the organisation mid March as they struggled in the LCS. Reaching out to Jwaow and the Elements camp, they have yet to comment on Strandgrens alleged tryout.
